Central Works opens its 2003 season with a play about, arguably, the world's cleverist with, The Importance of Being
Oscar, by Micháel mac Liammóir, takes you on a theatrical journey through the life of Oscar Wilde. The play
presents the famous poet, playwright, arbiter of good taste, and scandalizer of Victorian England in a one-man show
drawn largely from Wilde's own words.

A co-production presented by Wilde Irish Productions/Central Works, performed by Arthur Scappaticci directed by
Gemma Whelan, with light and set design by Richard Olmstead, sound design by Greg Scharpen, and stage management
