" All it takes is a dollar and a dream."

Lottomania: Play Here! Takes as its point of departure: The Lottery - all things lottery. Who plays the lottery and why? What is it like to win the lottery, or lose it? Where does all that money go? If the California Lottery was instituted to fund education, why do California schools remain among the worst in the nation? Is there anything suspect about the government legalizing gambling in the form of lotteries in order to fund programs previously supported by tax dollars? Is the lottery a metaphor for anything - like life?

With this new script, Central Works follows the true-life stories of winners and losers to an ultimate winner-takes-all match between the forces of good and evil found lurking behind the lottery powers that be.

"...Lottomania: Play Here! Uses sharp-edged satire to jab its target, it's funny and effective."
--Katy E. Shrout, Express

"There's also a wonderful, flamboyant number with dancers dressed as lottery balls."
--ibid

"Scenic designer Chad Owens is one of the evenings stars..."
--John Angell Grant, Berkeley Daily Planet
