IRS-I Want You, is a journey into the agency we all love to hate. The news is full of IRS " horror stories, " and every day more fantastic charges come to light. Witnesses at the recent congressional hearings accused the IRS of abuses ranging from agents forced to meet " collection quotas, " to armed raids by agents with drug sniffling dogs. Join reporter Nick Lansing on a perilous journey into the mad world of the Internal Revenue Service.
IRS-I Want You is written by Gary Graves, author of two previous Central Works scripts, The Golden Era and an adaptation of Racine's Andromache.
IRS-I Want You is part of the project, " Plays for the Third Millennium." The goal of the project is to create a body of work over the next three years, written and produced employing the Central Works method for collaborative play development, and with the future intent of publishing a volume of collective works. Last summer with Roux, we established our play development model, which we have employed again in a modified format to create IRS-I Want You.
